Hero MotoCorp sales jump over 18%

The countrys largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp reported 18.61 per cent jump in its August sales at 5,03,654 units.

The countrys largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today reported 18.61 per cent jump in its August sales at 5,03,654 units.

The company had sold 4,24,617 units in the corresponding month last year,Hero Honda said in a statement.

The cumulative sales of Hero MotoCorp between April to August this year has now crossed the 25 lakh units milestone - a growth of 21 per cent over 2,086,342 units sold in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.

This has set the company well on course to meet the initial guidance of 60 lakh volume sales in this fiscal,the statement said.

August has been a memorable and exciting month for us.

We created a new name,identity and positioning,and have begun to build the companys new brand architecture… We are thrilled with the response to our new brand identity and campaign, Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

The August sales performance has set the pace for the festive season ahead and the company expects to ride on its present buoyancy,he added.
