Police on Saturday claimed to have killed four Naxalites during an hour-long gunbattle near Gurdag village in Latehar district of Jharkhand. Acting on a tip-off that some extremists had assembled near the village,the police and the CRPF cornered them and shot four Naxalites around 11 am,SP Kranti Kumar said. They suspect that those killed belonged to either the CPI (Maoist) or Jharkhand Prastuti Committee,which operate in the area. Glitch delays GSAT-10 launch The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Saturday officially announced a one-week postponement of the launch of its communication satellite GSAT-10 on account of a technical problem following the entry of a dust particle into the Ariane rocket that will launch the satellite. GSAT-10 a 3400-kg satellite carrying 30 communication transponders was to be launched on Saturday on board the European Space Agencys Ariane 5 rocket launcher from Kourou in the French Guiana. It will now be launched on September 29,ISRO said.
