For Haj pilgrims,Vodafone discounts roaming rates

Vodafone Essar,one of Indias leading cellular service providers,today announced discounted roaming rates for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers travelling to Mecca for the annual haj pilgrimage.

Vodafone Essar,one of India8217;s leading cellular service providers,today announced discounted roaming rates for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers travelling to Mecca for the annual haj pilgrimage.

Vodafone is the first telecom operator to provide their customers with a product exclusively for Haj pilgrims,a company release here said. Customers can enjoy reduced call rates on all incoming and outgoing calls while roaming in Saudi Arabia and the offer is valid up to Nov 28.

Through this,Vodafone customers can enjoy 32 per cent reduction in incoming rates and 29 per cent reduction in outgoing rates to India or any other international destination.

To activate this service,prepaid customers can buy a bonus card of Rs 499 and receive discounts on all voice calls made to India and other international destinations while postpaid customers can pay a nominal rent of the same amount and enjoy reduced calling rates,K Sundararaman,Business Head,Vodafone Kerala said.
