While he was posted as zonal director of the Narcotics Control Bureau,Chandigarh, before being shifted as deputy director to the Directorate of Enforcement,Kochi,Mohan had the additional charge of zonal director of the NCB,Jammu and Kashmir, and had Personal Security Officers (PSOs) from the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) will question two of these PSOs,Navin Kumar and Devendra Pal. They are both from Jammu and Kashmir and were always with Mohan as his police attaches.

Parambir Singh,Additional Commissioner of Police (ATS),said the probe required “verification of Mohan’s statement” and would involve questioning of more people.

The ATS is already questioning Balwinder Kumar,Superintendent at Chandigarh NCB,and immediate subordinate of Mohan. It is believed that Mohan used to take the help of his lower constabulary ranks to traffic the stolen drugs.
