Veteran actor Dilip Kumar,who was admitted to Lilavati hospital on Sunday,continues to remain in the Intensive Care Unit ICU.
The 90-year-old actor suffered a myocardial infarction on Sunday night following which he was brought to the hospital at 9.30 pm. According to COO,Dr Narendra Trivedi,the actor also complained of breathlessness.
At present his condition is stable. In view of his advanced age and post-bypass status,he needs close monitoring in ICU, Trivedi said.
Kumars wife,actress Saira Banu,also stated that her husbands condition is stable and she is hoping for his full recovery.
He had viral fever last Friday,but it did not cause us any concern at that time. However on Sunday,he felt uneasy and we brought him to the hospital, the 69-year-old actress said.
