Delhi HC blast accused alleges torture

The alleged mastermind of September 7 Delhi HC blast,Waseem Akram Malik,on Monday claimed that he had been tortured in custody and that he had no knowledge about Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru until the National Investigation Agency told him during questioning.

Waseem,who was produced before a Delhi court on Monday,has given a three-page signed letter to the special court alleging torture by the NIA and claimed that the NIA has framed him because he is a Muslim from J&K. Waseem said that he is an MBBS student and not a student of Unani medicine as claimed in media reports.

The letter submitted by Waseems family before the court is part of the application in which his counsel has sought the courts direction to preserve the record of his mobile number and the CCTV footage at the airport.
