Cong: Local commanders free to act

The Congress also ruled out any third party intervention in Kashmir.

With Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah saying the Centre will have to look at other options if Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire, the view emerging from the Congress was that the government has already given full operational independence to local commanders to deal with the situation and the Chief Minister ought to discuss such matters with the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister.

The Congress also ruled out any third party intervention in Kashmir,a day Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said world powers should get involved to resolve the issue.
