The opening day of the Congress plenary session saw Raiganj MP Deepa Dasmunshi coming down heavily on the Trinamool Congress even as another MP from Tamil Nadu, who is part of Rahul Gandhis team, talked about the dream of Kamraj rule and need to maintain self-respect while dealing with coalition partners. The central leadership of the party, interestingly, chose to take a guarded view about coalitions with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi reminding party workers of time for constructive action, including in those states where we are in coalition. There is a conspiracy going on within and outside the party, Deepa Dasmunshi said in her speech, but did not elaborate on it. Dasmunshi launched a broadside against Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee, saying that she is the Railway Minister in the UPA government but when she goes to West Bengal, she speaks against the UPA government and hits the roads against the PM on price rise. In a similar vein,Manicka Tagore,MP from Tamil Nadu, said: We need to understand that self-respect for Congress is more important and it will not be long before the Congress realises, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the dream of Kamraj rule.
