DUBAI: A growing number of investors from India are showing interest in Dubai as they look to capitalise on 60 per cent savings per square foot in the Dubai property market,a Dubai-based real estate company has said. DAMAC Properties said in addition to the price disparity,Dubais property market is becoming increasingly attractive to foreign investors due to the implementation of a raft of new regulations,such as the new Strata law,which favours home owners.

Extra FSI for meeting green homes norms

MUMBAI: With a view to encourage green homes,the Maharashtra government is considering providing extra Floor Space Index (FSI) to developers complying with green homes norms. The government is committed and has many plans to encourage green homes by offering both financial as well as non-financial incentives to the project. To encourage green homes,we are also looking at giving extra FSI for such projects, secretary,state environment ministry,Valsa Nair-Singh,said.

Guj to relax prop registration rates

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat government announced slew of relaxations in the recently announced Jantri rates which serve as a benchmark to decide stamp duty on the registration of property here. The state government had recently announced the new jantri rates coming into effect from April 1.

Commercial demand to touch 160 mn sq ft

HYDERABAD: Demand for commercial office space across the seven major cities in India is estimated at around 160 million sq ft by 2014,a latest study by multi-national real-estate services firm Cushman and Wakefield Research (CWR) has revealed. The quantum of demand will mainly be concentrated in the metropolitan centres of Bangalore,Mumbai and National Capital Region of Delhi,the study says.

CREDAI code of conduct mandatory

kolkata: CREDAI,the apex body of private real estate developers,has said that it would make the code of conduct mandatory for all its members. President of CREDAI Lalit Kr Jain said that any member advertising their projects in the media should clearly mention about their affiliation with the apex body.
