CISFs mock security drill

Imagine a mock security drill in a government building to flush out suspected terrorists on a day when no one is around.

Imagine a mock security drill in a government building to flush out suspected terrorists on a day when no one is around. That is precisely what happened with a 45-minute-long mock security drill at the CGO Complex in the Capital, conducted by CISF and the Delhi Police, last week. Not only was the drill carried out on a public holiday,on account of Good Friday, but the personnel involved in flushing out armed suspects knew well in advance that what they were into was not a real situation but just a drill. No wonder,it didnt take much time for the Quick Reaction Teams to locate and neutralise the two suspects and declare the building clean. Officials later admitted that it was known throughout that the drill was a mock exercise since keeping this information under wraps could have led to real casualties. What purpose the drill would have served is anybodys guess.
