Red chilli and pepper prices shot up by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as exporters.
Red chilli and black pepper prices rose by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 7,200-10,000 and Rs 31,600-32,700 per quintal,respectively.
Traders said sentiments turned better following rising domestic and export demand and firming trend at futures market,attributing rise in chilli and pepper prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
