Changing a city: Sheila in Mumbai for Adda

Dikshit is the guest tomorrow at the Express Adda in Mumbai.

Each time she is written off,she has emerged stronger defying political pundits, rivals and critics. Now in her third term as chief minister of Delhi,Sheila Dikshit is widely acknowledged as a harbinger of change, instrumental in shaping the future of a city and its people.

And that’s the reason why Dikshit is the guest tomorrow at the Express Adda in Mumbai,a city where change is aspirational. She will be in conversation with the cream of the city at an informal, freewheeling interaction that has come to characterise the Adda.

As CM,Dikshit has overseen the transformation of Delhi — CNG-run public transport, the Metro, flyovers, power sector reforms,Bhagidari.

Mumbai,on the other hand, has been struggling with virtually every aspect of urban development. If there are lessons Mumbai can learn from Delhi,Dikshit is possibly the best placed to impart them.
