The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs on Friday would consider proposals for rescheduling the current Budget session, official sources said. MPs have been demanding wrapping up of the session early in view of the impending Assembly polls in four states and one Union Territory.
As per one suggestion, the Houses should remain in session till March 18 or 25 and adjourn sine die thereafter. The session can resume around May 20 and continue till June 5. The other suggestion is to adjourn sine die and prorogue the Budget session and make up with a larger Monsoon session.
