BSP expels three Bihar MLAs,may join RJD

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) expelled three of its MLAs from Bihar for cross voting during the recent Rajya Sabha polls.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday expelled three of its MLAs from Bihar for cross voting during the recent Rajya Sabha polls.

The three MLAs Ramchandra Yadav (Bhabhua),Hridayanarayan Yadav (Buxar) and Srinarayan Prasad Sah (Nautan) had voted for RJD-LJP nominees Ramkripal Yadav and Ramvilas Paswan,who were elected to the Upper House.

BSP general secretary Gandhi Azad confirmed this and said: They (Bhabhua,Buxar and Nautan) were expelled for anti-party activities, adding,Now that the poll dates have been announced,the party will start the process of selection of candidates. There is no place for rebels in the party.

The three expelled MLAs had voted in favour of the RJD-LJP despite the partys whip not to vote for any candidate.

Besides Ramvilas Paswan and Ramkripal Yadav,R C P Singh and Upendra Kushwaha from JD-U and BJPs Rajiv Pratap Rudy were also elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile,sources in the RJD said that the three expelled BSP MLAs would soon join the party and may even press for their claims for RJD tickets.
