Crackdown: Thai PM faces no-confidence

BANGKOK: Thailands opposition accused PM Abhisit Vejjajiva of rights abuses on Monday in a no-confidence motion centred on the use of violence during a crackdown on anti-government protests. The two-day debate aims to focus attention on tough measures used to break up the red shirt protests which ended on May 19. More than 880 people died in the crackdown. Abhisit is expected to survive the motion during a vote on Wednesday with support from his coalition. AGENCIES
