Over 99 in S Sudan vote for secession
JUBA: Southern Sudans referendum commission said Sunday that more than 99 per cent of voters in the south opted to secede from the countrys north in a vote held earlier this month. If the process stays on track,Southern Sudan will become the worlds newest country in July.
Pak court acquits former lawmaker
ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has acquitted a former lawmaker known for his links with militants in a case related to execution of a Polish engineer. Shah Abdul Aziz,a former member of National Assembly was acquitted late Saturday by Rawalpindi-based court on basis of lack of evidence.
