N Korea raises alert ahead of South drill
SEOUL: North Koreas military has raised an alert for its artillery units on the west coast in readiness for a planned live-fire drill by the South,Yonhap news agency quoted a government source as saying on Sunday. South Korean marines are expected to stage live-fire drills off its Yeonpyeong island some time before nightfall on Tuesday.
ISI denies it exposed CIA head in Pak
ISLAMABAD: Pakistans main spy agency denied it had unmasked the CIAs station chief in Islamabad. The CIA pulled its top spy out of Pakistan Thursday after his name emerged publicly a few weeks ago. An ISI official said suggestions it outed the station chief were a slur.

LONDON: Stranded travellers slept on makeshift beds at European airports Sunday as wintry weather caused travel havoc. Heathrow Airport stopped accepting arrivals Sunday. About 40 percent of flights were canceled at Frankfurt airport and at Paris Charles de Gaulle.

TEHRAN: Irans former foreign minister indirectly criticised the President Sunday for abruptly firing him last week,saying his dismissal was undiplomatic ,un-Islamic and offensive. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the decision to fire Manouchehr Mottaki while he was on a mission to Senegal.

DHAKA: Travellers at Bangladeshs main airport were taken in by shock when a huge screen meant to air programmes about the country showed a porn video,prompting the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority to launch a probe. The incident took place at the Hazrat Shahjalal Airport where a display screen aired a pornographic movie for five minutes.
