Hosni Mubarak is terminally ill: Report

Cairo: Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak may live just another year,a report in The Washington Times stated,quoting US and Western intelligence agencies. Intelligence agencies said that Mubarak is said to be dying of terminal cancer of the stomach and the pancreas,the report stated. A Central European intelligence officer told the newspaper Mubarak will probably die within a year.

London: An NRI doctor faced action for falsely claiming a patient had erectile dysfunction when the man had visited him for a cough. According to The Daily Telegraph,62-year-old Dr Mohan Tharakan of Whitley Bay faces being struck off the by the General medical Council after the health watchdog launched a fitness to practise hearing four years after the incident that occurred in October 2006.

Bomber attacks British firm in Iraq,4 killed

MOSUL: A suicide car bomber ploughed into a convoy carrying employees of a British company in northern Iraq on Monday,killing four of them and wounding five Iraqi civilians,Iraqi security officials said. The suicide bomber targeted the last vehicle of the convoy in Mosul and the force of the blast threw the armoured vehicle 40 metres into a ravine,killing everyone inside,police said.

Christian brothers killed for blasphemy

Two Christian brothers accused of blasphemy were gunned down by suspected members of a banned religious group outside a court in Faislabad in Pakistans Punjab province on Monday. Riots erupted in Faisalabad,located 100 km from Lahore,soon after the incident. Rashid and Sajid Emanuel were arrested some time ago after leaflets allegedly bearing their names and featuring derogatory remarks against the Prophet were found in Faisalabad. Police were taking the brothers to the district sessions court to seek their physical remand when they were ambushed by a group of gunmen.
