Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures,Brave is the first feature animation film driven by a female lead that is set in an ancient-mythical Scotland. The film departs from the traditional fairy tale storyline, neglecting the romance that has been associated with these stories.

It features Merida,a skilled archer and a free-spirited daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinior. Determined to create a niche for herself,Merida defies an age-old custom which inadvertently unleash destruction and fury in the kingdom. As she turns to an old, wise woman for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish which has to be undone before its too late. The prevailing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery and self realisation.

The buzz

The producers are looking at roping in Preity Zinta or Kangna Ranaut to do voice over of Merida for its Hindi version
