Bhushan set to appeal in stamp duty case

Former Union minister and Team Anna member Shanti Bhushan has paid Rs 70 lakh as part of the procedure for being eligible to appeal before the Board of Revenue against the order in which he was found guilty of evading stamp duty

Former Union minister and Team Anna member Shanti Bhushan has paid Rs 70 lakh as part of the procedure for being eligible to appeal before the Board of Revenue against the order in which he was found guilty of evading stamp duty.

Assistant Commissioner (Stamp and Registration) K P Pandey on Wednesday said Bhushan has got the amount deposited in order to be able to appeal against the order before the Board of Revenue. He can now appeal before the CCRA, said Pandey.
