Somya Lakhani of Talk Delhi traced the making of designer Gaurav Gupta8217;s couture collection that he will show tomorrow in an off-site show at Kila,in Mehrauli. This is as part of the ongoing PCJ Delhi Couture Week now in its third edition. Seeing unstitched fabric,laces,buttons,and borders mutate into gowns,saris and lehnga-gownsa full collectionhandled by an army of darzis and karigars was a lesson in the work behind glamour for her. Somya went to watch the fittings too and found that a model8217;s height determines her dress. Here are a couple of behind the scenes pictures taken at Gaurav Gupta8217;s factory-office in Noida.
