The BJPs chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan assured that Delhi will be the first state in the country where senior bureaucrats shall be given have complete freedom to work and take decisions in the interest of the people,once the party comes to power. He said his party also proposed to put all government decisions,proceedings and other files online.

After coming to power in Delhi,the BJP will fully comply with the orders of the Supreme Court dated October 31,2013,and make the bureaucracy free from political pressure. We will be providing honest,clean and transparent administration. This will help in preventing political interference and curb corruption in the administration matters, Harsh Vardhan said.

Democracy Run to increase voter turnout

To increase the voter turnout for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls,a Democracy Run was organised on saturday by the District Election Office (East). According to election officials,over 2,000 residents and children from East Delhi participated in the run,which was flagged off from Yamuna Sports Complex. The event was aimed at spreading awareness among voters so that they know the value of their votes and not consider polling day as just another holiday, an EC official said.
