Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on Thursday said that user interface,language,cloud computing,chip and form factors are the future technology trends that the world should watch out for. He said that almost 500 million personal computers have been shipped that have Windows 7,the latest operating system by the company. In this field,cloud will enable simulation of the physical world in its virtual format,he said.
Cloud computing technologies start with developing natural human interfaces which recognise basic human characteristics like voice and touch. The software giant is looking at working with Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia to develop next-generation mobile devices. Our partnership with Nokia is an important step forward and India is a priority market. The key there is not only to innovate on software but also work on next-generation hardware innovations, Ballmer said.
The Redmond-based maker of software recently partnered with Nokia to produce Windows-based mobile phones.
