A senior engineer of Power Grid Corporation Limited has been kidnapped by suspected NDFB militants from Chirang district,the police said on Tuesday.
The militants kidnapped the engineer along with three others from Khairabari when they were returning from their workplace last night. The three others were later released.

The engineer has been identified as Angan Rao. Several organisations have condemned the abduction and have appealed to he captors to release the engineer. A search operation was on to trace him,the policesaid.
