2 dead as paddy plant collapses
KHAMANO FATEHGARH SAHIB: Atleast five workers of the Lakshmi Rice mill here are feared dead after the automised paddy steam plant installed at the mill collapsed late Sunday night. As rescue efforts continue,two of the dead workers bodies have been recovered and three more workers are feared buried. Though the incident occurred late at night,the rice mill management did not inform the authorities,and the police informed only on Monday morning.
10 killed in Haryana road accident
BHIWANI HARYANA: At least 10 people,including seven students and a teacher,were killed and four injured when their jeep collided with a mini-truck between Kairu and Chandawas villages in Haryanas Bhiwani Monday evening,the police said. The jeep was carrying 14 people. Six students,a female teacher,the conductor and the driver died on the spot and one student died during treatment.
