Army JCOs sons also clear exam

Its double the joy for the family of Amit and Sumit. The brothers,sons of Om Prakash Yadav,a JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer) in the Army,have cleared IIT-JEE this year.

Amit,who is a year older,cleared the exam in his second attempt,while Sumit passed in his maiden try. Sumit completed Class XII from the Army Public School,Pune,this year,while Amit passed his Class XII last year from the same school. In 2008,Amit had not got through IIT-JEE. So Amit appeared again for the examination this year along with his younger brother.

This year they prepared together and also helped each other. Amit and Sumit secured 5,615 and 1,259 ranks respectively. Was there any competition between them? Not too much. Most of the time we encouraged each another, says Sumit.

The brothers plan to discuss the course they would take with their mentor Vaibhav Bakliwal of Bakliwal Tutorials,where both studied.
