Arjun keeps eye on target

With the Lok Sabha elections round the corner,Union Human Resource Development Minister is apparently keen to be seen as being very much in control of the situation despite his failing health. At a meeting of the IIT Council last week,convened for the first time in his tenure,to ratify all IIT-related decisions taken in the last five years,Arjun Singh surprised everyone present by sitting through the three hours of talks. The minister was seldom seen in his office till recently. But with the model code of conduct set to be in place soon,he has been on the move,inaugurating varsities across the nation and having a hectic schedule planned for the next few weeks.
