AI flight delayed again,fliers protest

Forty-seven of 119 passengers bound for Kozhikode disembarked, sources said.

In another harrowing experience for Air India Express passengers,a flight from Bahrain took nearly 20 hours to reach Kochi apparently due to technical snags and bad weather, prompting some of them to disembark and protest as it did not land at one of the transit points,Kozhikode.

Forty-seven of 119 passengers bound for Kozhikode disembarked, sources said.

Air India sources said the flight developed a snag at Doha that was fixed. But on the way to Kozhikode, another snag hit so the flight was diverted to Mumbai.

There,163 passengers were put on another flight to Kozhikode but it could not land due to poor visiblity. The plane then came to Kochi.

Naufal, one of the passengers, said they were served just a can of water and a small piece of plum cake last night. It was the same for breakfast at Kochi and lunch, he said.
