Address Change

Bedi is believed to be the closest to Hazare among the other members of the erstwhile core committee members of the India Against Corruption group.

Address Change

Having decided to dissociate himself from Arvind Kejriwal on the issue of formation of a political party,Anna Hazare now has to look for an alternative base in Delhi whenever he visits the capital. So far,the office of Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia used to serve as the temporary accommodation for Hazare in Delhi. That is now likely to change to Kiran Bedis NGO India Vision Foundation in Jahangirpuri locality,at least for the time being. Bedi is believed to be the closest to Hazare among the other members of the erstwhile core committee members of the India Against Corruption group.

MISSED OPPORTUNITY

WITH the allegations against Robert Vadra,by Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan, having raised a lot of noise on Friday evening,BJP is ruing a missed chance. In March last year, the party had decided to raise this same issue in the budget session of Parliament after similar revelations were made in a section of the media. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had in fact moved a notice for adjournment of question hour. The party had prepared to take the issue up in the Rajya Sabha as well. But that did not happen, ostensibly because of developments in the 2G case. However, the BJP never pursued the matter further in the last one-and-half-hour,indicating that the party was not entirely convinced of this step.

POLL PROBLEMS

CONGRESS MP from Jodhpur,Chandresh Kumari, has thrown her hat in the ring to secure a party ticket in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election. While her candidature from Dharmashala has been cleared by the AICC Screening Committee, the Central Election Committee is yet to finalise the list of candidates. Kumaris nomination would necessitate by-poll for Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat. The Congress is,however, not confident about regaining the seat given the feedback that the Jats are ranged against the party following the resignation of Parasram Maderna from the Ashok Gehlot cabinet in the wake of a sleaze CD controversy.

VISA ADVANTAGE

WHILE the denial of a US visa to Narendra Modi has forced the Gujarat Chief Minister to turn to East Asian countries like Japan,China and South Korea for investment in his state, his rival chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh is making the most of Modis missed opportunity. A day after Modi and Chouhan shared the dais at a public rally after the three-day BJP conclave, the Madhya Pradesh CM flew off for a week long US tour in a bid to attract investment for the state.
