The Maharashtra government on Tuesday said that the 26/11 terror attack was the end result of a well-planned conspiracy across the border to spread communal tension and hit the economy.

Pointing out the relevance behind each of the targeted locations, the state government told a Bench that its insights were from extensive review of the telephone conversations the attackers had with their handlers and Ajmal Kasabs confession.

Arguing for the state, senior advocate Gopal Subramanium said it is time the court heard on the point that the terror attack was with a calculated design to flare up communal tension.
