A 10-year-old girl was raped by a youth on the premises of her school here on Tuesday morning. The girl is very young,so we are trying to get her to give us clues about the perpetrator. But what we know is a youth had approached her when she was sitting alone on the premises of her school. The youth then raped her. We are told she had come about 40 minutes before the school opened, said Nagpur DCP Sanjay Darade. He said 10 teams had been formed to nab the culprit.
Asked if the school8217;s watchman didnt notice anything,the DCP said,He says he opened the school late. However,he is very much a part of our probe. The police said they were also questioning school authorities. The girls parents are labourers.
In Awandhi village,in Nagpur district,a 25-year-old man Mangesh Chandankhede was arrested for allegedly raping a 11-year-old girl when she was taking bath in her house. Her parents were away working on their farm at the time. The accused also threatened to kill her if she spoke about the incident to anyone.
Also a 12-year-old girl from Nagpur alleged that her father had been raping her for the past five months. Her mother reported the matter to the police. The father,Sheikh Aseef Sheikh Habib,a taxi driver,was arrested on Monday.
