MUMBAI, April 23: The Congress, the main Opposition in both Houses of the State Legislature, claimed that its members had raised several issues of public importance during the Legislature session that concluded here today.

Congress members made several suggestions and urged the Government to include amendments, particularly in the Rehabilitation Bill. Its members also held the Government on a tight leash on the issue of corruption, the statements said. This time, Congress leaders did away with the convention of holding a news conference on the concluding day.

Chhagan Bhujbal and Madhukar Pichad 8212; Opposition leaders in the Council and Assembly respectively 8212; merely sent their statements to presspersons.
