Water supply hit

CHANDIGARH, Jan 29: The water supply to parts of the city was affected today due to fault in joints of the main pipeline between Sector 39 and 40.

The worst affected areas were Sectors 37 to Sector 40 where the morning water supply was badly hit for two hours from 6 a.m to 8 a.m. The supply in the afternoon too was affected by low pressure.

When contacted Superintending Engineer of the MC Public Health Department Manmohanjit Singh said the fault in the main pipeline was plugged at 7.30 a.m and the supply was restored at 8 a.m.
