8226; Anil Kumble has now become the 10th-highest Test wicket-taker after claiming 8-141 on Monday. He is now on 378 from 81 Tests. Among current players, only Shane Warne 491, Muttiah Muralitharan 485 and Glenn McGrath 430 are ahead of him.

8226; Kumble also became the third Indian bowler to take eight wickets in an innings in an away Test. Erapalli Prasanna 8-76 v New Zealand, Auckland, 1975-76 and Kapil Dev 8-85 v Pakistan, Lahore, 1982-83 and 8-106 v Australia, Adelaide, 1985-86 have done it before.
