NAGPUR, Nov 7: Vidarbha colts notched up their first victory in almost four years beating a strong Madhya Pradesh team by six wickets in the Central Zone Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19) cricket tournament today.

Leg-spinner Sameer Khare fashioned victory for the hosts as he claimed six wickets in Madhya Pradesh’s second innings as the visitors set up an easy target of 103 runs for win.

Brief scores: Vidarbha 281 and 103-4 (Alind Naidu 31, Shailesh Harbade not out 21, Amit Deshpande 26; Nitin Kapil 3-20) bt Madhya Pradesh 125 and 258 (Sunil Dholpure 131, Vishnu Joshi 25, Jatin Saxena 23, Mohammed Arif 36; Sameer Khare 6-73).
