Annamma Mathew, chief editor, Vanitha bi-weekly, and wife of K M Mathew, chief editor, Malayala Manorama, died here today after a prolonged illness. She was 81.
Known as Mrs K M Mathew, she was Kerala’s most famous and prolific cuisine writer. She elevated some of South Kerala’s unknown recipes to fame and five-star status, and her books were a must-read for anyone who wanted to venture into the secrets of Kerala’s cuisine.
