CHANDIGARH, April 11: A fine century by Vaneet Khosla (117) enabled Videocon XI beat Unknown Cricket Club by a huge total of 237 runs in the Chandigarh league-cum-knock out cricket tournament today.

Videocon won the toss and elected to bat. The team scored 282 runs in the allotted 25 overs. Vaneet Khosla (117) and Ritesh Manchanda (86) were the main scorers for the team.

In reply Unknown CC were bundled out for a paltry score of 45 runs.Surinder and Ritesh scalped three wickets each while Yoginder Bhandari got two wickets.

Five more matches were held today at different venues. In another match Tari Cricket Club defeated 3 BRD by 75-run.

Sukhwinder excels
An all-round performance by Sukhwinder Tinkoo (23 runs and 4 for 27) enabled Godrej Cricket Club beat power XI by 93 runs in the fifth Shine Star cricket tournament today.

Batting first Godrej CC for 200 runs in the stipulated 25 overs, losing five wickets.

Besides, Sukhwinder, Rajesh Patha (68) and Arun Tuli (24) also contributed to the total.

Chasing the target, Power XI got 107 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. In another match Fighter XI got a walk over from Sapas XI.

Shine Star XI scored 35-run victory over Youth Panthers.
