Prevention of Crime Bureau sleuths on Wednesday arrested computer operator Shamsuddin Ismal Dharwad and the computer of the Art and Designing Centre, Sayajigunj, which was used to prepare printouts of fake M S University certificates. PI Dinesh Mishra said the centre8217;s proprietor had been absconding ever since the racket was busted.
Seven in custody
The seven PTS trainees arrested in connection with the rampage in the Summer Mela on Thursday have been sent to judicial custody at Baroda Central Jail after completion of their police remand. Raopura PI R M Patel has invited for deposition anyone who was either injured by or witness to the PTS trainees8217; rampage.
Koyali lines
As many as 4,500 telephone lines of the Koyali Exchange were restored around 9 a.m. on Wednesday; their optical fibres had been damaged on Tuesday. Vadodara Telecom general manager Rakesh Babu said the department staff had been asked to explain how the damage occurred, after which action would follow.
