Forgery case accused in police custody
The three people arrested in connection with the forged M S University certificates and marksheets racket were remanded to three days in police custody on Monday. They include a SYBA student and two technicians from a photocopy centre. Prevention of Crime Branch officials said that the proprietors of the photocopy centre were absconding.

Syndicate meet
A special syndicate meeting of the M S University will be called on May 21 to look into the case of 40 students, who were admitted to the Padra College of Commerce on the basis of fake caste certificates. The committee to look into the bogus admissions was constituted in September.

Memo submitted
A section of M S University8217;s student leaders submitted a memorandum to Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane on Monday asking for the removal of senate member J B Rajput. The V-C has reportedly assured the students that if he was empowered to do so, Rajput would be suspended within the next three days.

Website launch
The Gujarat Electricity Board will not be able to launch its Internet website on Tuesday as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Gopinath Munde, will not be able to attend the function.

Museum entry
The entry ticket for the Vadodara museum, Sayajibaug, has been hiked from Re 1 to Rs 5 with immediate effect. An official release said here on Monday that entry would, however, be free for government guests, students of museulogy, researchers, and children below 12 years of age. Meanwhile, according to another release, a documentary on restoration work on the museum8217;s 1 mummy would be telecast on Doordarshan, Ahmedabad, on Tuesday at 7.15 pm.
