
Bus kills one in A8217;bad
Ahmedabad: Tension gripped Naranpura here on Sunday after an AMTS bus fatally knocked down a moped rider. The AMTS withdrew services to the area after local residents damaged a few buses near the mishap site. The accident comes within a week of an AMTS driver being lynched by the public after his bus killed a scooterist, also in Naranpura.
Memo submitted
Vadodara: A delegation of residents of various localities and BJP workers submitted a memorandum to State Supplies Minister Jaspal Singh on Sunday, demanding that steps be taken to ease traffic congestion in and around the Vadodara railway station and the S T bus stand area. They also asked him to shift the bus stand elsewhere.

The local unit of the Rajbhasha Implementation Committee is organising a day-long Rajbhasha awareness programme for senior bank managers and executives on Monday to promote use of Hindi in everyday official work.
