
CHANDIGARH, May 14: The Chandigarh Administration has directed all its heads of departments to take action on the recommendations of the Committee on Compassionate Appointments of dependents of deceased employees on a priority basis for Class 3 and 4 posts.
The directive said that in case no post was available or where the ceiling of five per cent had been achieved, the concerned departments should send particulars of dependents of the deceased seeking appointments to the UT Regional Employment Officer. While this may be done within one month from the date of recommendation of the Committee, any delay in this regard would be viewed seriously, it added.
A common Committee on Compassionate Appointments had been constituted for providing speedy employment to dependents of deceased employees.
