The US military reassessed security at bases across Iraq on Thursday after 22 people were killed in a suspected suicide bombing at an Army camp.

The blast on Tuesday in a mess tent in Mosul was likely carried out by someone with inside information about the heavily guarded base, creates a nightmare dilemma for troops battling insurgents. US officials are likely to be taking a look not only at base security but at the procedures that allow thousands of Iraqis 8212; police, National Guards and civilians 8212; into American encampments throughout the country.
