UNDP award for Chhattisgarh

The first Human Development Report of Chhattisgarh has been selected for the United Nations Development Programme for Participation and Capacity Development of Human Resources.

Chhattisgarh, carved out of Madhya Pradesh in November 2000, published the report in 2005. The award is given away every year to a state for preparing the report. It would be presented to the Chhattisgarh government at the UN Headquarters on June 19, 2007.

Aman Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh Infotech and Biotech Promotion Society, will be receiving the award.
