
JANUARY 30: An unbeaten century by Sunil More and a half century by Vijay Singh helped National CC score 270 against the Rajasthan CC on the first of the three-day final of Purshottam Shield Cricket tournament at the PJ Hindu Gymakhana. At close, Rajasthan were 33 for one.
After winning the toss, National elected to bat and lost the opening batsman Manish More early. He was bowled by Vikram Thorvi. Thereafter, Vijay Singh and More added 135 for the second wicket. After Vijay Singh’s dismissal, National lost wickets at the regular intervals to be bowled out for 276.
Vijay Singh’s knock included 11 fours and a six. More was unbeaten with eight boundaries. Amit Dani (24) and Atul Ranade (27) were the other two main scorer. For Rajasthan CC, spinner Shiv Singh took three for 62. Thorvi, Ajit Gholatkar and Rohit Rudra took two wickets each.
