Travancore Devaswom Board flays Sabarimala plan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, June 21: The Travancore Devaswom Board TDB has criticised the master plan prepared by the Environment Committee of the Assembly for the famous pilgrim centre of Sabarimala. The TDB Chairman, V G K Menon, in a letter to Environment Committee Chairman A V Thamarakshan, said many of the features in the masterplan had been drawn up without actual knowledge of the conditions at Sabarimala. He expressed the view that it was an attempt to prevent amenities being provided at the pilgrim centre in the name of environment.
