NAGPUR, JUNE 20: Special Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nagpur range, Ramrao B Pawar, was among the four senior police officers, who were reportedly handed out transfer orders by the State Government today, along with 44 officers of the ranks of Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to a report reaching here from Mumbai, Pawar will take charge as IGP, Kolhapur range. Commissioner of Navi Mumbai A N Ray has been replaced by Ajit Parasnis. Ray will take charge as Commissioner of Aurangabad police. Similarly, IG Rahul Gopal has been transferred to Mumbai range, the report stated.
Additional SP P S Salunkhe, presently posted at the Naxal-infested Gadchiroli district, has been transferred to Nagpur and is likely to take charge of one of the three zonal offices headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCPs), the report added.
