TN women lose by a whisker

DEC 29: Tamil Nadu women lost a hardfought match against Maharashtra 29-31, while Haryana defeated Maharashtra 44-24 in the men’s section, on the second day of the 20th All India Federation cup Kabaddi tournament, being played at Tirupur.

Despite a good show, Tamil Nadu women lost to Maharashtra by a whisker, registering second consecutive defeat, to remain virtually out of the tournament.

In a tough inaugural match last night, Tamil Nadu women had suffered defeat at the hands of Haryana 61-76.

In the first match on Friday, Haryana men outsmarted Maharashtra in all departments to register an easy win.

In other two matches, Indian Railways’s men defeated Tamil Nadu 39-32 and Karnataka women drew with Madhya Pradesh on 26-26.
