NEW DELHI, JUNE 3: Three women died in separate incidents today after they reportedly took their own lives.
Prem, 38 is said to have had a minor altercation with her husband Krishan Kumar yesterday. Her step-daughter, Suman Lata, was engaged and they were supposed to go shopping for her wedding. Prem had wanted to go yesterday and her husband had refused. The fight reportedly led to the suicide. She hanged herself to death and her body was found this morning. In another incident today, Rekha, the 12-year-old daughter of Rani, reportedly took her own life. After her first husband8217;s death, Rani had been living with another man in West Sagarpur, south-west district. Rekha had left home suddenly two days ago without informing anyone. She returned this morning and told her mother that she had gone to visit a friend. Rani reportedly scolded her. The girl later hanged herself to death. The case has been registered at the Dabri Police Station.
In Shakarpur, Ruby was declared dead on arrival at Jaya Prakash Narayan Hospital. She was married and had a two-year-old son. The boy reportedly ran out of the room at 2.30 p.m., after a fire engulfed a room in their house. Ruby allegedly got caught in the blaze.
The police are still investigating the cause of the fire. An SDM inquiry has been ordered, because the woman had been married for just three years. Her husband Mukesh was not present when the incident occurred. The two-year-old sustained minor injuries.
