AMBALA, Nov 8: Three cows were found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Cantonment area here today. It may be recalled that seven milch cows and a bull were poisoned to death near the vegetable market, about a fortnight ago by some mischievous persons.
The residents, especially from the Hindu community, are feeling agitated over the ghastly Killing of cows.Meanwhile, the police took into possession carcasses of the dead cows. Postmortem report is still awaited. It is suspected that the animals may have been poisoned by persons engaged in tannery trade. The animals8217; hide is the lure to these unscrupulous elements.
The occurrence of such incidents have caused panic among dairy owners who used to let their animals graze freely in the open pace. The cattle owners have demanded the immediate arrest of anti-social elements behind these incidents.
