Which one is Major Saab and which one is Lal Badshah? It8217;s hard to tell. Both the films8217; promos look pretty much the same. Amitabh is doing similar dance steps, all the girls are loaded with layers of pancake and everyone is wearing similar-looking jhatak-matak clothes. The only difference: Amitabh has personally designed the stunning posters of Major Saab. But jokes apart the two films actually have very little in common. And that is largely because of Mrs B. Apparently, she walked out of the Lal Badshah trial because the film was awful. After that the Big B started his delay tactics with Lal Badshah and speeded up work on Major Saab.Going steady
So what if Aunty No 1 flopped. The dismal numbers at the box-office, hasn8217;t put Govinda off his heroine Raveena Tandon. Chichi is on this spree of promoting the gorgeous-looking heroine. Take a look at his list of forthcoming releases: Dulhe Raja and Pardesi Babu 8212; both releasing next month. And if that isn8217;t enough, Govinda is pushing for her to be cast in Mohan Kumar8217;s new film. However, according to the grapevine, Kumar is pretty keen on Juhi Chawla. Watch this space to see who wins this battle 8212; lovely Raveena or successful Juhi?
Shining star
In stark contrast to girls who get into the news for all the wrong news, is Tabu. This is one leading lady who is stability personified in every which way possible. Whether it her love life or her professional, she doesn8217;t make the wrong moves. Even when she was seeing Sanjay Kapoor Yuck!, Tabu dated him for years to come. And now that she has settled for Sajid Nadiadwala, everyone knows that this relationship has marriage on the cards. Not too many actresses have clean reputations like Tabu.

Now, on a completely different note. I bumped into Anu Malik at a salon last week. We chatted over our pedicures. Actually, he did the talking and I did the listening and nodding. He may have a mouth to match his ego but no one can deny that he is doing damn well for himself. Okay, we admit that with arch-rival Nadeem out of the way, his job was made easier but give the devil his due. Critics may pan the music of Kareeb but director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is thrilled with Malik8217;s score. So much so that he has even signed him up for his next film. Attaboy Anu! Business booms if you keep the hand that feeds you happy.
Hey! I forgot to ask you: Whatever happened to those long curly braids you had stuck on to your hair? This time, I saw a bald patch! Another Sunday, I will not be so forgetful or so charitable.
Wedded out
It seems that at least two actresses are about to quit films. There8217;s Roja Walli Madhu who has announced her retirement 8212; she plans to marry businessman Anant Shah. The other actress who may quit films is Kajol but she isn8217;t saying exactly when. Now, we are wondering how she plans to do that? She has two films coming up 8212; Pyar To Hona Hi Tha and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But there are strong rumours that she and Ajay Devgan are planning to get married in a few months. While the couple aren8217;t in a mood for confirmations, this explains why Kajol is turning down films.
But if you think this is why she8217;s not doing Yash Chopra8217;s next film 8212; for which he8217;s signed Manisha 8212; well, you are wrong. Kajol has a certain price and she doesn8217;t bring it down no matter what the banner may be. And we all know that big film-makers give you big hits but not necessarily big bucks. But Kajol has always had this reckless attitude 8212; she8217;s never been desperate and perhaps this is what makes her more attractive.

Please stop it. Stop talking through your hat we say to Amitabh Bachchan. In at least three interviews he8217;s claims that the girls are chasing him and not the other way around. What is he doing in Lal Badshah then?
Please stop we say to Manisha Koirala, Kajol, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon. Stop those horrendous short hair wigs. Who is this hair stylist doing full vasooli of this horrible wig?
And then there are the goldilocks of Ajay Devgan. He needs to go to a saloon that knows the meaning of being subtle. Did you see him on the Stardust cover, recently. By George, that golden lock of hair was a bit too much.
